Abstract
We propose a high-efficiency pulsed Tm-doped fiber amplifier based on resonant pumping. A continuous-wave fiber laser at 1940 nm was employed as pump laser, and a homemade all-fiber pulsed laser at 1975 nm with the repetition rate of 250 MHz served as signal laser. In the simulation, the slope efficiency of the Tm-doped fiber amplifier was ~88%, which could be further improved by fiber length optimization and/or applying higher signal power.
