Organic Edge-Emitting Photonic Crystal Laser by Photoexcitation

Abstract

Based on organic semiconductor polymer MEH-PPV ridge waveguide, a new type of 1-D organic edge-emitting photonic crystal laser is proposed, which consists two perfect photonic crystal structures as a resonator to apply feedback and a defective photonic crystal as a mode selection component to suppress the multi-mode competition. It realized lasing at a wavelength of 618nm.
