Abstract

The feasibility of implementing all-optical 1-bit and 2-bit magnitude comparator is theoretically investigated using Silicon waveguide based micro-ring resonator (MRR). The MRRs are modulated by optical pump signals, which represent the binary numbers to be compared. The proposed model has high extinction ratios of 13 dB at very low pump powers of 1.82 mW.
