Novel Photonic Encryption Technique using Spectral Convolution and Nyquist Filtering

Abstract

A novel physical-layer encryption method is proposed, utilizing analog key-waveform modulation with comb-shaped spectrum. The concept was proved numerically and experimentally in 5 Gbaud Nyquist QPSK. The EVM after decryption was around 20%.
