Wavelength Tuning of Hollow Waveguide DBR Lasers

Abstract

We demonstrate the wavelength tuning of hollow-waveguide DBR laser with variable air core. Wavelength tuning of 8.2nm was obtained with a core-thickness change of 0.68µm. A novel design for wide continuous tuning is also presented.
