Abstract

The orbital angular momentum (OAM) carried by Laguerre-Gaussian beams can be transferred to move particles along its ring-shaped intensity distribution. Here, we show a unique non-linear effect where a fluorescent microbead is moved in the opposite direction as the OAM.
