Fiber Transmission Characteristics of Optical Solitons Generated by Optical Pulse Synthesizer

Abstract

We generated optical soliton pulses using an optical pulse synthesizer having an arrayed waveguide grating, phase modulators and intensity modulators. We experimentally clarified optimal pulse shape for fiber transmission through different dispersion fibers.
