All-in-one THz-wave parametric source driven by a compact LD-pumped Q-switched Nd:YAG laser

Abstract

We demonstrate an all-in-one compact THz-wave parametric oscillator. An original LD-pumped Q-switched Nd:YAG laser was developed. The pump source and a ring-cavity THz-wave parametric oscillator were embedded into the package within A3-paper-size dimensions, with 155 mm-height. Using it, a maltose spectrum was detected at room temperature using a pyroelectric detector.
