Bismuth-oxide-based Ytterbium-doped Double-clad Fiber

Abstract

Ytterbium-doped bismuth-oxide-based double-clad fiber was fabricated. The absorbance of a core was 1430 dB/m. Fiber lasers were demonstrated with a resonator of a FBG and a splicing point with a high refractive index glass.
