24 nm Wavelength Tunable High Duty-Cycle, Self-Starting Figure-eight Fiber Laser

Abstract

The operation of a 24nm wavelength tunable self-starting, passively harmonic modelocked, figure-eight laser is experimentally demonstrated. Stable pulses with near half duty-cycle are produced at repetition rates of up to 2.72GHz at 1550nm wavelength.
