Abstract

Balanced spectral interferometry is combined with dispersion-induced frequency-to-time mapping to achieve single-shot full (amplitude and phase) characterization of dynamical THz-bandwidth optical signals over sub-nanosecond time windows at unprecedented measurement update rates of nearly 20 MHz.
