Planar Terahertz Waveguides Based on Periodically Dimpled Metal Films

Abstract

We demonstrate planar plasmonic THz waveguides based on dimpled metal films. The propagation properties of the guided modes depend upon the geometrical parameters of the dimples and can be broadly engineered.
