Phase Locking an Array of Fiber Amplifiers onto a Remote Object

Abstract

Experiments demonstrating a novel technique that coherently combines an array of beams and automatically corrects for turbulence in the beam path are presented. This technique is insensitive to near field backscattering from aerosols and particulates.
