Technology, Manufacturing and Applications Associated with the Commercialization of Systems Based on Quantum Cascade Gain Media and Lasers

Abstract

Extraordinary progress has been made to advance the performance and manufacturability of quantum cascade (“qc”) materials. This progress has driven many to adopt and evolve this technology for a broad array of applications in the mid-infrared. In this talk, we will describe some of the key technology and manufacturing issues for commercializing quantum cascade laser (QCL) products. We will also discuss some of the applications that commercial QCL products can address.
