Quasi-Passive and Reconfigurable Node for Optical Access Network

Abstract

We propose a quasi-passive reconfigurable power/wavelength distribution device for optical access network. It can adapt to deployment condition and optimize the energy consumption. Novel tri-state non-volatile optical switches are designed in this device to preserve the semi-passive operation.
