Ultrafast Temporal Phase Detection Using Thick Nonlinear Crystals

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrated that second-harmonic generation yield due to a thick nonlinear crystal is sensitive to temporal phase of ultrashort pulses, which could be useful in temporal chirp monitoring and ultrafast coherent communications.
