Experimental Generation of 1.6-THz repetition-rate pulse-trains in a Passive Optical Fiber Resonator

Abstract

Using an optical fiber ring cavity with a GVD coefficient as low as 0.02 ps2/km, we experimentally generated pulse-trains with a repetition-rate in the THz range. We achieved the spectral and temporal characterization of this train.
