Modal and spectral evolution of Raman lines in a H2-filled hollow-core PCF taper

Abstract

The spatial mode evolution of spectral Raman components generated in and propagated through a tapered hollow-core PCF reveals adiabatic transition from core modes to surface modes. Its effect on the Raman converter is discussed.
