Optical Processing to Enhance UWB Transmission and Reception

Abstract

The range and/or bit rates of impulse radio UWB systems can be improved by employing the optical processing. We consider optical pulse shaping at the transmitter and precise receiver synchronization and windowing using optical techniques.
