Continuous–Wave Frequency Doubling of Near–Infrared Light using AlxGa1−xAs Bragg Reflection Waveguides

Abstract

Continuous–wave second harmonic generation in type–I phase-matched AlxGa1−xAs Bragg reflection waveguides is reported. Peak second harmonic power of 3.10 nW was measured for a pump at 1563.5 nm with an internal power of 174 µW.
