Abstract

We report on the growth and characterization of novel Ce<sup>2.2</sup>Bi<sup>0.8</sup>Fe<sup>5</sup>O<sup>12</sup>-(Ce:BiIG) epitaxial thin films fabricated via Pulsed Laser Deposition. Our results suggest the highest Faraday rotation ever obtained in magneto-optical garnet thin films (0.55degrees/µm, @1550 nm).
