Demonstration of a 9cm side-emitting fiber laser line source with a tilted fiber grating output coupler

Abstract

We demonstrate an Er doped fiber laser line source whose output coupler is a 9cm, 45° tilted fiber grating. Our approach shows potential for improved efficiency and simplicity over previously described line sources.
