Abstract

A simple fused silica light-guide assembly transmits 6kW concentrated solar power to a 2D-CPC cavity. The calculated laser power of 75.8W is obtained for a 4mm diameter Nd:YAG rod, reaching the conversion efficiency of 11W/m2.
