Scalings for Narrow-Band MeV Proton Beams from Laser Plasmas

Abstract

Monoenergetic proton beams were obtained from laser-plasma interactions with unprecedented reproducibility. From hundreds of spectra, we derive an empirical scaling law between proton peak position and laser energy. The results are supported PIC simulations.
