Sub-Watt Threshold CW Raman Fiber-Gas-Laser Based on H2-Filled Hollow-Core Photonic Crystal Fiber

Abstract

A single pass CW Raman laser based on a hollow-core PCF filled with hydrogen exhibits 50% conversion quantum efficiency even at atmospheric pressure. The addition of fiber-Bragg-gratings reduces the Raman threshold power below 600mW.
