Extended Phase-Matching of High-Order Harmonics Driven by Mid-Infrared Light

Abstract

We demonstrate that increasing the wavelength of the driving pulse in high harmonic generation significantly increases the photon energies for which the process is truly phase matched, suggesting a promising path for producing bright x-rays.
