Generation of sub-30 fs pulses from a mode-locked ytterbium fiber laser oscillator with phase compensation

Abstract

An ultrashort-pulses mode-locked ytterbium-doped fiber laser has been developed with 28.3 fs duration at 80 MHz. The dispersion was compensated by a grating pair inside the cavity and a prism pair outside the cavity.
