Single-shot time resolved expansion and emission measurements of proton-heated warm dense matter

Abstract

We report the simultaneous, single shot, time-resolved measurements of self-emission and free expansion of aluminum isochorically heated by laser generated MeV protons. In this way we measure the equation of state along an isochore.
