Abstract

We review nonlinear-optical applications of micro-structured quasi-phasematched GaAs. These include new sources of mid-IR coherent radiation, pump-polarization-insensitive devices, as well as sources of tunable terahertz radiation, based on optical rectification or intracavity frequency mixing.
