Wide square flat top mode discrimination in a regenerative amplifier

Abstract

We report the achievement of a square flattop mode in a diode pumped 100 mJ regenerative amplifier. This mode is selected by 2 diffractive mirrors which provide a high modal discrimination and low roundtrip loss.
