Study of Hydrogen-Bonded and Metal-Oxide clusters Using Single Photon Ionization from a Compact Soft X-ray Laser

Abstract

We have realized the first demonstration of the use of a soft x-ray laser (26.5 Ev photons) as single-photon ionization source in photochemistry experiments. TOF mass spectra of water, methanol, ammonia, and metal-oxide clusters are discussed.
