Efficient Coupling to Chalcogenide Glass Photonic Crystal Waveguides via Tapered Optical Fiber Nanowires

Abstract

We achieve > 98% coupling efficiency (18dB) to a highly nonlinear chalcogenide glass photonic crystal membrane waveguide via evanescent coupling from a silica fibre nanowire.
