Three-level Neodymium Fiber Laser Incorporating Photonic Bandgap Fiber

Abstract

We report a Neodymium fiber laser incorporating photonic bandgap fiber to suppress the four-level laser transition. Lasing at 907nm on the three-level transition 4F3/2-4I9/2 is achieved with a slope efficiency of 32.
