Frequency Metrology using Fiber-Based fs-Frequency Combs

Abstract

We have investigated Erbium-doped fs-fiber-lasers for applications in optical frequency metrology and find agreement of the measured frequency to within 2×10−17. The stability of a reference laser is transferred to a free-running fiber-laser at 1543 nm.
