Mode-locked, Q-switched and continuous laser operation of the Yb-doped Li6Y(BO3)3 crystal

Abstract

We demonstrate for the first time Q-switched and mode-locked laser operation of the Li6Y(BO3)3:Yb3+ crystal. Up to 140 µJ pulse energy and down to 355 fs pulse duration were achieved.
