Abstract

We investigate optimal dispersion maps for 40Gbit/s DWDM systems based on retum- to-zero differential phase-shift-keying modulated channels. Accumulating the dispersion compensation in 150km G.652 units leads to a small transmission penalty of less than 0.5 dB.
