Determination of the 18O/16O isotopic ratio for doubly labeled water by using cavity ring-down spectroscopy

Abstract

We measured the isotopic ratio of 18O/16O in water using a cavity ring-down spectrometer operating near 1392 nm wavelength. Spectral scans took 5 seconds, and the per-scan ratio noise was 0.7 parts per thousand.
