Tomographic Wavefront Sensors for Advanced Gravitational Wave Interferometers

Abstract

We describe a tomographic Hartmann sensor with sensitivity of λ/1100 that can measure optical distortions in gravitational wave interferometers. Using an off-axis geometry we demonstrate reconstruction of on-axis optical distortions to a precision of λ/100.
