Optical Pulse Generation Using Polarization-Reversed Electrooptic Modulator with Resonant Electrodes

Abstract

Optical pulse generation by the electrooptic modulation method was demonstrated using a polarization-reversed electrooptic modulator with resonant electrodes. 25ps pulse trains with ~15GHz repetition frequency and negligible timing jitter were observed with a streak camera.
