Periodic dispersion compensation induced by photo- sensitivity for achieving quasi-phase matching in holey fibers

Abstract

To achieve quasi-phase matching nonlinear process in one piece of holey fiber, a novel highly nonlinear holey fiber with doped photosensitive regions is proposed, which periodically compensates dispersion and phase mismatching in nonlinear interactions.
