Coherent Phase-locking of Seven Laser Transmitters on a 408 meter Outdoor Range

Abstract

We operate our laboratory-demonstrated [1] coherent seven-sub-aperture transmitter on our 408 meter free-space range, and demonstrate phase-locking while simultaneously measuring turbulence. The received signal enhancement is near what is expected from analysis.
