Direct chromatic dispersion determination of higher-order mode fibers using OLCR technique

Abstract

Phase-sensitive Optical Low-Coherence Reflectometry is demonstrated to measure the chromatic dispersion value in short lengths of higher-order mode fibers. All spatial modes were simultaneously characterized from a single measurement without the use of spatial mode transformers.
