Coupled Cavity Phenomena within MEMS-Tunable Long-Wavelength VCSELs

Abstract

We present a tunable VCSEL emitting around 1.55µm with a maximum tuning range of 43nm. To investigate the effects of coupled cavities within such a structure, simulations have been performed and compared to experimental results.
