Abstract
Two-point coupling is used to double the free-spectral-range (FSR) of a microring-resonator filter. The filter, designed using rigorous electromagnetic simulations and fabricated using e-beam lithography, demonstrates 22 dB resonance suppression yielding a 40.8 nm FSR.
