Generation, amplitude and phase characterization of 1021 W/cm2 intensity

Abstract

The intensity of 1021 W/cm2 was generated by correcting F/1 off-axis paraboloid aberration in 30TW diffraction limited laser system. The importance of using diffraction calculation over spot size measurement in determining intensity is discussed.
