Generation of a broadband continuum with high spectral coherence in tapered single-mode optical fibers

Abstract

A significant input wavelength dependent variation of the supercontinuum mutual spectral coherence is observed for the first time using the delayed pulse method, and conditions for generating a highly coherent and broadband supercontinuum are established.
