General design rules for multi-pass cavity lasers in ultrashort pulse generation

Abstract

We present a general analysis of q-preserving multi-pass cavities (MPC) which can be used in the construction of high-energy and compact ultrashort pulse sources. The application of MPC designs to femtosecond Ti3+:Al2O3 lasers is described.
