In-line high energy Yb fiber laser based chirped pulse amplifier system

Abstract

Chirped-pulse amplification of a modelocked Yb fiber laser in a large mode-area polarization-maintaining Yb-fiber using a nonlinearly-chirped fiber Bragg-grating stretcher is demonstrated. Pulses with 8nm bandwidth are amplified to 43µJ and 1000x recompressed to 900fs.
