Noise reduction in THz systems using THz interferometry

Abstract

We compare a broadband THz interferometer to standard THz time-domain spectroscopy (TDS), demonstrating improvement in characterization of thin samples. Destructive interference reduces the noise effects due to THz pulse emission and detection, and system drift.
