Quasi-phase-matched second harmonic generation using 42° rotated Y-cut near-stoichiometric lithium tantalate

Abstract

We have periodically poled 42° rotated Y-cut near-stoichiometric lithium tantalate crystals. These crystals enable QPM in surface-normal configurations for scaling to large apertures. Initial SHG results are consistent with theoretical expectations.
